The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga History Department and the Chattanooga History Center hosted the 2010 Southeast Tennessee District History Day competition on Saturday, February 27, at the UTC University Center. Students from Hamilton, Bradley, Polk, Marion, Grundy, Franklin, and Sequatchie Counties were eligible to compete for awards in exhibit, documentary, papers, performance and website design categories. Top winners in the junior and senior divisions earned the privilege of advancing to the Tennessee History Day competition in Nashville, where another set of winners will qualify for the national level of competition to be held in College Park, MD.
